I’m the Founder and Principal Consultant of Storm Strategy, a boutique insurance consultancy helping insurers, MGAs and discretionary mutuals strengthen underwriting governance, portfolio performance and strategic resilience across Australia, the UK and the Pacific.

 

With over 30 years of international insurance experience, I’ve learned that clarity beats complexity. My work spans strategic portfolio management, technical underwriting frameworks and capability uplift, helping teams build the confidence, consistency and discipline needed to grow sustainably.

 

Alongside my strategic work, I’ve spent many years training and mentoring underwriters at every level, from entry-level and graduate programs through to senior and specialist heritage underwriters. That hands-on experience has shaped my belief that sustainable performance comes not just from structure and process, but from developing judgement, curiosity and commercial awareness across the team.
